Following on from the sweeping recommendations of the Royal Commission and also the Australia’s Children’s Commissioners and Guardians, and, the 2005 National Framework for Creating Safe Environments for Children, a National Statement of Principles has been drafted.
The aim is to build capacity to deliver child safety and well-being in organisations, families and communities, and, to drive implementation of a child safe culture across all sectors providing services to children and young people to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people across Australia.
Have a look at our free sample online course for how we could help you deliver training to your organisation.
The principles are in draft at the moment but expect to be signed off and implemented in the very near future.
If you’re not already familiar with them there is good information available on the Australian Human Rights Commission website.
